Brewery Bhavana Pop-up at The Publican
I visited Brewery Bhavana over the holidays in Raleigh, and let me tell you, it’s a treat. The hybrid brewery/restaurant/flower shop/bookstore is unlike anything else, with a dim sum menu as acclaimed—and delicious—as the house-brewed beers. So long story short, make a res to visit The Publican on February 26 as the North Carolina icon pops up for the evening. This means you can savor Bhavana dishes like char siu bao, mooncakes and scallion pancakes with bone marrow and oxtail jam, along with curated beer pairings by The Publican’s own Adam Vavrick. Details: February 26

Hopewell Brewing’s 3rd Birthday
They grow up so fast! Considering how engrained Hopewell Brewing Co. has become in Chicago’s beer lexicon, it’s hard to believe the sleek Logan Square brewery is only three, but here we are. For its anniversary, Hopewell is hosting a little bash on March 2, doubling as a release party for an oak-aged peach wild ale called “Stonethrow.” Raise a pint glass and pair it with stone fruit-inspired treats from Mexican-Jewish bakery Masa Madre, along with snacks from Brothers and Sisters. Special tappings will also take place throughout the day. Details: March 2, 12 p.m.-12 a.m.; no cover, prices vary

Girl in the Red Corner
Elizabeth Laidlaw, co-producer of the web series “The Haven,” a behind-the-scenes look at a domestic violence shelter, directs this kick-a$$ play about overturning stereotypes and challenging male domination via femme representation. What fights inside and outside of the ring will our protagonist have to face? Which fights will she win? Which fights will she lose, and how will her presence in a male-dominated arena change the game? Details: February 3-March 2 at The Den Theatre
